Input fields in InDesign (and other Adobe CC programs)
In InDesign input fields (and some other Adobe programs – for example, Photoshop and Illustrator) – you can write anything, and some of it program can understand.
For example, if you have pt units set, and you need to enter a value in millimeters, you do not need to convert it manually – you can simply enter the desired value along with its units. For example, write 10mm. And InDesign will convert it to pt.
In addition, you can write something like 10 * 15/2 + 5 – and it will multiply 10 by 15 and divide the result by 2 and then add 5.
